- Winnipeg is home to the Canadian Museum for Human Rights that opened in 2014. The purpose of the museum is to "explore the subject of human rights with a special but not exclusive reference to Canada, in order to enhance the public's understanding of human rights, to promote respect for others and to encourage reflection and dialogue." Visit www.humanrights.ca to learn more about this new addition to our city.
We invite you to consider spending an extra day or two in Winnipeg to take advantage of these events that coincide with the conference. Remember to book your hotel by July 1st because the block of rooms being held for the conference will disappear quickly with all of the other activities happening in Winnipeg concurrently!
