CSBE/SCGAB (Canadian Society for Bioengineering/La Société Canadienne de Génie Agroalimentaire et de Bioingénierie) is the technical Society of choice for all professionals and students with an interest in the application of scientific and engineering principles for the sustainable production of food, bioproducts, and bioenergy.

OUR MISSION

To advance the application of engineering principles and practices to biological systems for the production of food, bioproducts and bioenergy.

To develop and promote standards of practice in the biological engineering disciplines, including agricultural, forest, food, bioresource, biochemical, and biosystems engineering.

To ensure the safety and the health of practicing bioengineers through the development of guidelines for maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.

To provide professional development opportunities through meetings and other forums, and disseminate information about bioengineering through refereed publications.
