The Department of Bioresource Engineering invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in Sustainable Food Systems Engineering, tentatively starting on January 1, 2022. The position has the potential to interface between food/bioprocess, nutrition, sustainable production of food, and energy/economic models. Specific areas of interest may include eco-efficiency for food production and processing, agri-food value chain analysis, nutrition sensitive processing, bioprocess controls, industrial bioprocesses, and the conversion of waste streams into high value products. This position will lead to enhanced understanding of the complex interactions along the food value chains and optimize food supply chains particularly in resource-limited settings of developing countries across Africa, Caribbean, and other parts of the world.
