The College of Engineering (the College) is home to 2,100+ learners and 175+ faculty and staff. The College’s RE-ENGINEERED first-year program is nationally recognized and the first of its kind in Canada offering a hands-on, balanced approach to learning. At the graduate level, the college offers PhD, MSc, and MEng degrees in biomedical, biological, electrical, civil, environmental, mechanical, and chemical engineering.
Reporting to the Provost and Vice-President Academic, the Dean provides strategic and innovative leadership to the College as its chief academic and administrative officer. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Dean works in collaboration with academic leaders, senior administrators and staff, and other key stakeholders to implement and proactively advance the University’s Strategic Plan and objectives promoting and advancing the College within USask and with key partners regionally, nationally, and internationally.
Candidates with an exemplary academic record as an educator and researcher are invited to apply. Prior performance at the senior academic level is required with preference given to candidates holding the rank of full professor. The successful candidate will have demonstrated administrative and leadership experience with superior relationship-building skills. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing a vision and leading people to achieve exemplary performance and outcomes is essential. Candidates must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geosciences of Saskatchewan.
