To all members:
Council has decided to create a new Position on Council. This position would be named "Social Media Manager".
This person would manage and administer our Facebook and LinkedIn account (and Twitter eventually). This position would be a non-voting position similar to that of the Society Manager, Treasurer, Journal Editor and Webmaster.
Social media managers have a variety of responsibilities including:
- Managing a publishing calendar
- Scheduling posts
- Curating content
- Engaging with members and partners
- Listening to networks for interesting news about bioengineering
- Reviewing analytics and determining next steps
- Check in with the Council for announcements to publish and
- Running experiments to optimize social media posts
