To all members:

Council has decided to create a new Position on Council. This position would be named "Social Media Manager".

This person would manage and administer our Facebook and LinkedIn account (and Twitter eventually). This position would be a non-voting position similar to that of the Society Manager, Treasurer, Journal Editor and Webmaster.

Social media managers have a variety of responsibilities including:

1. Managing a publishing calendar
2. Scheduling posts
3. Curating content
4. Engaging with members and partners
5. Listening to networks for interesting news about bioengineering
6. Reviewing analytics and determining next steps
7. Check in with the Council for announcements to publish and
8. Running experiments to optimize social media posts
