General information

Online registration will open on April 1st 2017. Only online and mail-in payment will be accepted. See Registration payment methods and conditions below for more information.

Registration fees

The registration fees for FULL registrants includes:

  • Access to all technical sessions
  • Sunday evening Networking Reception
  • Breakfasts from Monday to Thursday
  • Lunches from Monday to Wednesday
  • AGM and Award Banquet on Tuesday evening
  • Journey to Churchill dinner and networking event (Wednesday evening)
  • Workshop (Sunday afternoon)
  • Technical Tours (Thursday morning)
  • Coffee breaks and poster sessions


The registration fees for 1 DAY registrants includes:

  • Access to technical sessions the day you registered (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday)
  • Sunday evening Networking Reception
  • Breakfast the day you registered
  • Lunch the day you registered
  • Coffee breaks and poster sessions


"Sunday-Monday" option for undergraduate students:

Registration payment methods

Online payment by credit card
When you register online, you can pay by VISA, MasterCard or American Express. You have to provide cardholder name, card number, and expiry date. Credit card information are securely processed through our online partner (Paypal, www.paypal.ca). All credit card information is encrypted. 

To ensure that Paypal does not refuse the transaction, please enter the same email address in the Billing Information page as your active Paypal account. It is possible that Paypal refuses to process a transaction with an email address already associated with an account if you try to proceed with the transaction without logging in to that account. Before starting the registration, please check if you already have a PayPal account or ever complete a transaction with PayPal with the billing email. If you do not have a Paypal account, you can still make online payment as a guest.

You will receiving an email invoice of your registration. Please send a cheque or money order by mail before June 15 (payable to Canadian Society for Bioengineering) at the address below. Cross-border mail takes close to two weeks. Registrations received on or before June 15 will qualify for the early registration fee.

No CALL IN payment will be accepted.

On-site payment
Payment by credit card will be available on-site during the conference for late registrants and for additional options (tours, extra ticket, etc.)


Registration conditions and policies

Registered participants who are unable to attend the conference will be entitled to a refund of their paid fees minus a processing fee of $25 provided written notice (by email, letter or fax) is received by the Conference organizers 20 days prior to Conference start date. All refunds will be made after the Conference.

Liability and Insurance
Participants are advised to make their own personal travel and health insurance arrangements. Neither the Local Organizing Committee nor the Conference Organizers assume any responsibility for damage or injury to persons or property during the congress.

The Local Organizing Committee is entitled to make changes to the program as deemed necessary.

Payments are securely processed through our online partner (Paypal, www.paypal.ca). All credit card information is encrypted. Your registration will normally be confirmed and accepted when your payment will be completed by our processor. Upon reception of this registration form, no verification will be made (by email or by phone) if the cardholder name matches the registrant name.
